Home Visits
If you are incapacitated
or too ill to come to the surgery you can request a home visit. IF AT
ALL POSSIBLE PLEASE RING BEFORE 10.00AM so the doctors can plan their
visits for the day. When you ring you may be put through to the duty
doctor who will take some medical details. If you need an IMMEDIATE
visit please tell the telephonist but remember in the case of severe chest pain, collapse, unconsciousness,
or severe bleeding it may be appropriate to call 999 for an ambulance.
It is usually possible to have a more complete and effective consultation
in the surgery so please try to attend here whenever possible.
It
is estimated that in the time taken for an average home visit, including
travelling, a GP could see up to five patients in the surgery.
